Name- Pretty straightforward. Your character's name.
Gender- Your character's gender. Male or female only please.
Age- Very important. It should be noted that this site goes by real time. The current season in Central and North America( and the time that passes), happens in the site as well. Threads are locked in their own zones of time, but otherwise, liquid time doesn't occur. If a year goes by when you made your bat as a newborn, it's likely that bat is an adult now. Age determines when characters are officially allowed to have a mate, so this is important in more ways than one.
Species- You cannot just put owl or bat. It has to be a Graywing bat, or a Great Horned Owl. Be specific, and consult the animal boards if necessary. Different species of animals have slightly different traits, and it helps the W.O.E.D.S. determine where your character belongs.
Appearance- Basically at least a well written paragraph explaining your character's appearance. It's likely that the same species of animal are going to have similar appearances, but different little traits based on how they lived or what they were born with separates your character from the rest. Include usual facial expressions, and pay attention to detail.
Personality- The very flesh and bone to rping is your character's personality. How they view life, others, and themselves(and what they do about it) is the very essence of rping. As a group, certain characters, especially bats, would have had an upbringing similar to others in their colony. But that doesn't change the simple fact that many people are simply different than others, or that certain events shaped them a certain way. At least two, well written paragraphs. Try not to tie too much history here, and focus more on the character's reactions, beliefs, and emotions.
History- Your character's past to where they are now when they are created is very important. Include family members, friends, upbringing, life changing events, etc... A good history explains everything about your character by itself if done well enough. Anywhere from 1 to 3 well written paragraphs, depending on your character's age.
Connections- Sort of like a section for mini bios. If your character has family members/friends/other you want represented, but only have a minor or short role in the rping, you post some basic information about them here without writing out a full bio. Connection character CAN become real characters, but a real bio has to be made for them if that should happen. This is not a mandatory thing, but it helps keep the staff and other rpers informed about the characters you role play.
Rping Example- Basically a short little test to let the W.O.E.D.S. see what you got. To be honest, I never saw much point in rping examples, so after making an rping example for your first character, it is no longer necessary. We understand that character development and connection often happens on the threads rather than the bio. At least two paragraphs, and it must be about the character listed. Please do not just spam dialogue either.
